It’s a Chinese idiom. The story is about a frog living at the bottom of a well. It is quite satisfied with its living conditions and surroundings, even though it never comes out of the well and has a look at the big world. What it can observe is the only circle of sky outlined by the well at the top of its head.
When I’m doing research, I always have the feeling that I’m like a frog who is at the bottom of a well.
Focus, focus, and focus.
Focus is not bad, which is necessary for a successful researcher. However, it will also be beneficial to jump out of his/her focus sometime, e.g. having a look at the roadmaps, trends, and evolutions.
So, I try to start from today and hope I can keep myself informed of the big IC world all along the time!
